Access and Charging Policy

The SMR is a computerised and hard copy record of all the historic sites in Herefordshire (currently about 19,000 sites). It also contains a collection of aerial photographs, photocopies of historic maps and a large archaeological library.

The SMR is located at Hereford Town Hall. It is open to the public on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and at other times by appointment. It is advisable to telephone before visiting. To make an appointment contact the SMR Officer at the address below.

Information is free of charge. Photocopying costs are 10p per sheet. This charge is in accordance with Herefordshire Council's policy on photocopying charges within planning services.
