Allensmore, possible motte.

The second half of the name comes from the Old English word 'mor' which means wet, low lying ground. Allensmore came into existence in the late 13th century when Alan de Plugenet inherited Kilpeck Castle and drained a large tract of marshland to extend his estate.  This marshland became Allensmore, hence the meaning of its name. (Herefordshire Place Names - Copleston-Crow, BAR  British Series 214, 1989)

Located at this grid reference is a large circular feature, the very northern portion of which is still under pasture, the rest having been ploughed. There is the possibilty of a motte visible now only as a cropmark.
